Welcome to our class page. We are a happy friendly class who just love investigating and learning. Here on our class page, you will be able to follow our learning journey in EYFS. 
 

Staff: 

Mrs Warrington- Assistant Headteacher, EYFS Lead and Class Teacher 

Ms Byers- Teaching Assistant 

Mrs. Roscoe- Teaching Assistant

PE: 

our PE sessions are Friday mornings with Mr.Joliffe. The children are to wear their school jogging bottoms, polo shirt and jogging top and trainers. 
 

Home Reading: 

Up until the end of Autumn Term, children in Reception will be able to select a book they would like to share with an adult through our lending library scheme each Friday morning, books are to be returned the following Thursday. Please ensure your child has a school book bag, these can be purchased via parent pay.
 

Once the children are able to decode, segment and blend through phonics teaching, appropriate decidable reading books will be sent home. As well as our school Oxford Reading Tree reading scheme, at Rimrose we have a reading for pleasure Graduate Reading Scheme which runs in conjunction with our Wisdom Christian Value Award. 
 

Homework: 

Phonics homework is sent home weekly to support letter formation and reading. 

The children took part in a range of activities which enabled them to work together, getting to know one another and building and developing relationships. 

The children worked together to complete their rainbow challenge to create a mode of transport. The children used speaking and listening skills to communicate their ideas. The children were able to talk about their chosen destinations for the their journey.
