Year 3/4

Welcome to Year 3/4!

Welcome to Year 3 and 4! We have three mixed year 3 and 4 classes:

3/ 4 G - Mrs Ginn, Miss Pendleton and Miss Hardaker
3/4 Su - Miss Sullivan and Mrs Ozdemir
3/4S - Mr Stephens, Mrs West and Mrs Dougan

Important Information

PE (Physical Education) is a compulsory subject of the National Curriculum, at Rimrose Hope we support, promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle and deem this subject area extremely important, therefore we ask that you ensure that your child has a full PE kit each week (white polo shirt, maroon shorts and black pumps- please ensure that each PE garment is clearly labelled in pen with your child's name).

All year 3 and 4 PE sessions will take place on a Tuesday afternoon.
Mr Stephens' class will be outdoors this term and Miss Sullivan's class will be doing dance.
Swimming is on Thursday for 3/4G with Mrs Stanford.

Home Readers

It is very important that your child reads at home every night.  Please ensure you write in their home/school reading diary.  They will then receive an e-praise point for home reading.

Children will also be given Maths homework each Wednesday which relates to their individual Maths Passport Target.  This should be returned to school by Friday.  Parents and carers were provided with your child's target at our recent parents' evening, if however you have misplaced this please ask the class teacher for a copy. In addition to reading and Maths homework the children will also be given Literacy homework on Fridays to be returned by the following Tuesday.

Additional homework

Children also have been given usernames and passwords that will allow them to access the MyMaths website. This provides them with opportunities to practice areas of numeracy that they may feel less confident with as well as completing homework tasks set by the teachers.

My Bones Rap!
