Year 3/4

Friday 17th June

This Week's Thunk:

You have one million pounds that you HAVE to give away to charity.

Which charity would you give it to and why?

Welcome to Year 3 and 4! We have three mixed Year 3 and 4 classes:

3/4G - Mrs Ginn, Mrs Ozdemir and Mrs Bullimore
3/4 Su - Miss Sullivan and Miss Pendleton

3/4S - Mr Stephens, Mrs Dougan and Mrs Davidson

If you want to see what we get up to in class, please click on our individual class pages!

PE and Correct Kit

PE (Physical Education) is a compulsory subject of the National Curriculum, at Rimrose Hope we support, promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle and deem this subject area extremely important, therefore we ask that you ensure that your child has a full PE kit each week (white polo shirt, maroon shorts and black pumps- please ensure that each PE garment is clearly labelled in pen with your child's name).

This term Mr Stephens' class will be doing dance in the hall on a Tuesday
Mrs Ginn's class will have outdoor PE on a Wednesday with Mrs Stanford
and Miss Sullivan's class will be swimming on a Thursday afternoon.

Home Readers

It is very important that your child reads at home every night.  Please ensure you write in their home/school reading diary.  They will then receive an e-praise point for home reading.

Children will be given Maths homework each Wednesday which will relate to what we have been doing in our Maths lessons. This should be returned to school by Friday.  The children will also be given a Friday Thunk which must be returned by the following Tuesday in order to receive their e-praise point.

Additional homework

Children will also be given usernames and passwords that will allow them to access the MyMaths website. This provides them with opportunities to practice areas of Maths that they may feel less confident with as well as completing homework tasks set by the teachers.

This year the children have had the opportunity to learn to play the trumpet or clarinet. On Tuesday 5th July, we invited parents and carers to celebrate the children's progress in their music. Thank you for coming, we hope you enjoyed it and a special well done to all of Year 3/4!

Our Harvest Assembly

On Wednesday 14th October, Year 3/4 performed a fantastic Harvest assembly.

A huge well done to our readers, actors and singers - you were all superstars!

A special thank you to Year 1/2 and Rose Class who were a brilliant audience and to all parents and carers who came along to support their children.
