Important Information

PE is every Thursday. Please ensure that your child has a full PE kit (white shorts, maroon shorts and black pumps).

We have a reward system in place for reading. Every time your child reads his/her book at home and it is returned to school they get to travel through the planets. Children who manage to reach for the stars ( book returned 4+ times in one week) will receive a small prize on Friday. Home reading is very important and you can really help your child make good progress if you listen to them read every night. Past experiences tell us that the children who make the most progress in reading are the ones who read at home on a regular basis.

Every Tuesday the children will be given Maths homework relating to their Maths Passport Target or objectives they have been working towards in class. This homework is now to be competed online on a website called MyMaths. Letters have been sent home with the login and your child's username and password. The homework can be completed on a computer, Ipad or tablet. It is a great way for children to assess themselves and see what they need to practise. Please help your child to practise their target, whether it be counting in fives or learning the 2 times tables. If you need any further support or guidance then don't hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher.

Every Friday the children will be given a piece of Literacy homework. This needs to be completed and returned to school on Monday. If you need any equipment to help your child to complete their homework i.e. pencils, rulers etc. then please ask your child's class teacher who will be happy to provide you with the appropriate items.
