Working in Partnership with our Community

Working with the local and wider community is of high importance to us at Rimrose Hope. Our school is continually developing opportunities for community cohesion. Our annual Great Get Together event allows children, parents, staff and friends to come together and celebrate our commonalities. Our school is very much at the heart of our wonderful community and we are fortunate to work with many local organisations and charities.

As a school we promote the Christian values of Stewardship, Endurance and Service and actively encourage our children to support our community by such things as collections for Harvest Festival, visits by the choir to local nursing homes and hospitals, collections for the Shoe Box Appeal and locally selected charities chosen by the children are but to name a few.

Our children are encouraged to develop a sense of community by raising money for charity and good causes. This includes assisting charities around the world.

Some of the charities we regularly support are:

  • Comic Relief
  • Children in Need
  • Fair Trade
  • Poppy Appeal
  • Shoe Box Appeal
  • Harvest Festival for the Trussell Trust and local food banks

Some of the community groups we regularly work with are:

* Friends of Bowersdale Park

* Everton Football Club

* Dads, Lads and Lasses

* Sports coaches

* Beanstalk Reading Scheme

* Linacre Ward Church Commission

* YKids

As part of our Extended School Services, we offer full Wrap Around Care from 8:00am to 6:00pm including a breakfast club, full day nursery provision and an after school club.

Working in partnership with Emmaus, Mersey Forest and Crosby High

The children have worked in partnership with Emmaus, Mersey Forest and Crosby High to develop our school grounds. The children learnt about the importance of green spaces and their impact on our planet. The children planted trees within our school grounds to develop our green area.

A helping hand for the community Pantry from Hope's Heroes. The children took donations to the Community Pantry in support of local families.

Rimrose Hope Community Shield

In July 2017, the Rimrose Hope Community Shield was established in memory of Donna Ellis. Donna was a parent and a member of our PTFA, who dedicated her time supporting our school and families within our community. After receiving the sad  news of Donna’s passing, we decided that we would establish an annual event in her honor. Since 2017, the whole school has taken part in a charity fun run held on the final day of the year, all proceeds raised during the event are donated to a charity in our local community which has been chosen by our families.

  Crosby High School Tree Planting

The children of Rimrose Hope paid a visit to Crosby High School. Working alongside the Crosby High, the children worked hard to develop a green space within the school grounds by planting trees
