Star of the week
Katy
A super poem Katy, keep up the hard work!
Science
On Monday, we had a visit from Mr Allday and his animals. He spoke to us about evolution and how the animals have adapted over time to be successful survivors! we even got to have a stroke, but don't worry, we washed our hands!
Science
In Science, we have been looking at electricity. We have been busy labelling components, making circuits and observing whether voltage affects the brightness of a bulb!
Maths
In Maths, we have been looking at fractions and their equivalents. We created a fractions museum for different amounts using everyday objects. Then, we added a twist and had to find each others odd one out!
Design Technology
For Healthy Eating Week we designed, made and evaluated our very own pasta bake. We followed a design brief and looked at all the different food groups. We then took our finished product to the market! We had lots of fun chopping and stirring, but more so, eating!
English
SPLATS, the theatre company, came in and helped us to perform our very own version of a Midsummer Night's Dream. We all had different roles to play and got to use props as well! We performed it to the rest of the school and they all really enjoyed it!
History
As we are looking at the Victorians, we visited Port Sunlight to look at the lives or workers. We dressed up just like the characters from the story 'Children of Winter'. We looked at school life, work life and also the influence that Lord Leverhulme had on the working class.
