Speke Hall
On Tuesday, 8th May, Year 3/4 went to Speke Hall to support their learning of The Tudors for their History topic. We had an absolutely brilliant day and learned lots. Here are some photos of our trip.
Mr. Allday's Farm
Today, Mr. Allday came to show us some of the animals from his farm. We looked at their appearance, learnt about how to keep them healthy and talked about why he keeps them on his farm. We used all of the facts we learned to make our own book.
DT Week - Money containers
What a busy week we've had! Miss Brady and Mrs Owen set the school a Design and Technology challenge and Year 3/4 had to focus on money containers (purses, wallets, money boxes etc). We evaluated existing products, created an 'it-list' of features a money container would need, designed our own money containers, made and evaluated them as well as some peer assessment! Here are some photos of what we've been up to...
Diwali Workshop
We were lucky enough to take part in a Diwali workshop today. We learned and performed a Diwali dance and some of us even got to try on some traditional clothing.
Netball
Our focus in PE this half term is netball, so we have been practising our throwing and catching skills before we play a proper match.
We've been celebrating British Food Fortnight and Mr. Crilly decided to hold a farmer's market in the hall. Each phase decided on a British dish that we could make in class and we invited parents and families into school to look around and sample what the children had made.
Year 3/4 made fruit crumbles and they were delicious! We also did some oil pastel drawings of an apple to show off our main ingredient.
