Welcome to 3/4D!

On our class page, you will see some of the great work we have been doing recently.

Black History Week

As part of our Black History topic, we created a class timeline. We added information to it throughout the two weeks, when we learnt about it. First, we learnt about what big space events occurred over the last century, then we learnt about the Civil Rights Movement. Our focus was the life and legacy of Katherine Johnson and Mae Jemison. We added their main life events and achievements into the timeline and were able to see how events in certain decades had affected them.

At the end of the topic, the children created a comparative timeline, including the important information they had learnt. They also wrote reflections around it, in the style of Kate Pankhurst's books.

How cool is Liverpool?

As part of our Geography unit on Liverpool, we researched the local landmarks before creating a non-chronological report about our great city. Here are some examples.

Hydraulic Models

For our recent DT project, we designed and created a hydraulic model, based on a character from a Twisted Tale. After creating the structure of our model using cardboard, we used syringes and water to create the hydraulic pressure system. We then added the details to the faces, before completing them using paint. Don't you think they look great?
