Here you will find lots of photographs showing all of the wonderful things that go on in our class. 1/2Mc is a happy class full of enthusiastic children and staff. I hope you enjoy looking through the photographs.

Key Information

PE - PE takes place every Thursday and children should come to school dressed in their PE kit.

 

Home reading - The children are encouraged to read at home every night. This will help them make good progress. Reading books will be changed daily.

 

Homework - Homework will be set every Monday and should be completed by the following Monday. All homework is on Google Classroom. We have a number of electronic devices available for children to take home each week. Please contact the school office if you wish to borrow one.

Quidditch

The children really enjoyed learning how to play quidditch with a fully interactive session led by Enrich education. The children were super fast when trying to catch the golden snitch!

World Book Day

As part of our world Book Day celebrations the children read a non-fiction text called Actual Size. The children were fascinated by the size of different animal parts. They drew around their own hands and compared them to the hands of an ape!

Black History Month

The children really enjoyed making time machines hats and travelling back in time to 1850. They learnt all about the life of Mary Seacole and the challenges she faced when trying to help out in the Crimea War.

Hobby Horse Club

The children enjoyed their final hobby horse session with a visit from Alwen donkey sanctuary. The children got to feed and ride the donkeys.

Maths - Comparing 2-digit numbers

The children worked in pairs to build and compare 2-digit numbers using practical apparatus. They used the language of greater than, less than and equal too. 

DT - Structures

the children designed and created chairs for a beanie toy. The children ensured that there design was fit for purpose and they evaluated the strengths and weaknesses afterwards.
