Rose Class Curriculum
Our curriculum aims to enable all children to become:
· Successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve
· Confident individuals who are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives
· Responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society
Rose Class is a resource base for children with complex learning needs, from all primary age year groups. Rose Class provides a nurturing environment with a personalised curriculum allowing all the children to develop.
Alongside personalised programmes, the children in Rose Class follow a broad and balanced curriculum. The children work on the core national curriculum subjects of English, Maths and Science, as well as other subjects including ICT, History, Geography, German, Music, Art, PE, Design Technology, Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) and RE.
A high priority is given to enriching the children's education with visits and trips out. Please see our class page for pictures of these varied days out.
At the heart of learning in Rose Class is a focus on enhancing thinking and learning strategies. Following the programmes designed by The Feuerstein Institute, the children strengthen their learning skills.
